Chanel Hydra Beauty Under-Eye Gel Review

Hi!

I’m sure there are more women who also have a soft spot for under-eye products. I dedicate this post to them. Since I noticed first lines around my eyes, I have been persistently (and with different results) testing tons of eye cosmetics. If you’re a young woman and still can’t see the signs of skin ageing, feel free to leave the post and poke around other articles on my blog. However, if you’ve seen your under-eye skin is getting fatigued, grayish and simply unattractive, reach out for a cosmetic that will let it revive. Is Chanel Hydra Beauty going to fulfil such a role? The product has it all to restore a proper level of moisture, reduce shadows and protect the delicate skin around the eyes. How does it work in practice during an everyday skin care?

Hydra Beauty Gel is advertised as an intensively hydrating and smoothing product. Its action is based on the fusion of hydrating ingredients that make the skin radiant and youthful, smooth and protect it day by day.

Camomile Extract is responsible for the protective and soothing benefits. It’s also supposed to brighten the skin under the eyes.

Sounds great but… I expected more prestigious ingredients and better effects from a high-end product. The gel can be a good option for summer or under make-up but Hydra Beauty won’t bring benefits for skin affected by first wrinkles. Firstly, the cosmetic doesn’t cooperate with my skin: it sinks in and doesn’t create a layer that would make wrinkles less visible. I didn’t feel any moisturising either. On the contrary, I had an impression the formula disappears from the skin surface. The plus was that thanks to the regular use I didn’t have problems with under-eye shadows or swollen skin e.g. after a sleepless night. Chanel Hydra Beauty is a great make-up primer yet it fails to work as a separate under-eye skin care cream. I definitely need products that deliver more intensive action. I used it together with Yves Rocher Riche Creme. Summing up: Chanel, you could have done better! ;(
