Perfect colours of lipsticks for blondes and brunettes. Check them out!

Have you ever tried to match a lipstick to the colour of hair? Does it happen that you sometimes buy a lipstick and after applying it turns out that this intense burgundy shade gives your face a deadly look? It wasn’t until recently that I realized that a lipstick’s shade has to be in tune with the hair colour – it’s so crucial! I used to buy lipsticks by randomly choosing their colours being led rather by what I found attractive that day. I didn’t think that some shades are just inappropriate for me despite looking amazingly on other women.

Let’s match a lipstick’s shade with the hair shade!

This task isn’t easy if you don’t analyse how particular colours compose with each other. So as to make it simpler, I’ll share with you the things that I managed to sort out. After many experiments that I conducted on myself (brown hair) and my friend (blond hair) I’ve chosen three colour versions for each of us.

LIP MAKE-UP FOR BRUNETTES

As mentioned above, my hair is brown. Now I know which colours compose with this hair colour. In my opinion, brown-haired girls are in a better situation since their hair composes with many types of make-up. Obviously, there also shades that make me look, let’s be straight, hideous and the first place of such colours wins blue and all its variations. Ok, but what colours suit brown-haired girls?

  • In the morning the perfect shade for brunettes is cool pink or lavender. Coat your lips with one of the colours, blend it and highlight the inner part of the lips with a transparent lipgloss. Delicately and subtly.
  • In the afternoon you can use more intensive colours and define the shape of your lips with a lipliner. Choose subtle contrasts like for example, chocolate lips on the outside that delicately transforms into beige or cherry that is highlighted in the middle with a lipgloss.
  • In the evening the best solution for brunettes are strongly defined lips due to burgundy or juicy red colours. This time the use a lipliner is a must. It’s also a good idea to use matte versions of these intensive colours from time to time.

LIP MAKE-UP FOR BLONDES

And again, as I told you before, in the search for the ideal colour for blondes I used the kind help of my friend. Thanks to her I was able to define three lipstick shades that match fair hair. What lip make-up suits blondes?

  • In the morning lips should be defined but in a subtle manner therefore I encourage you to discretely mark the natural line of the lips. Reach for a nude lipgloss or a lipstick the colour of which can be described as ashy pink or milky beige.
  • In the afternoon it’s time for more defined make-up. Perfect, juicy and more vivid colours that suit blondes is coral or amaranthine, best if in a shimmering version. Outline the lips with a lipliner of the same shade as the lipstick’s.
  • In the evening you can go a little bit crazy with lip make-up that when it comes to blondes should have super glittering form. Acceptable shades for blondes are violets or juicy cherry. Outline the lips precisely, apply the lipstick and highlight it up with the use of a good lipgloss.

Enjoy your lip make-up!
