Hair Growth Boosting Oil with Cayenne Pepper [DIY]

Today, I will take you on a magic trip to the world of spices that you can (of course!) use for beauty care. The first stop: Argentina, cayenne pepper and homemade hair growth oil.

Cayenne pepper. Get to know each other!

Although this seasoning is grown in lots of regions of the world, it usually makes me think of South America. Cayenne pepper is extracted from dried and ground pepper. Cayenne variety is as spicy as its Mexican cousin, Jalapeño. Cayenne owes its spicy taste to the content of capsaicin – an irritative chemical compound.

What are the qualities of cayenne pepper?

It is the capsaicin that gives cayenne pepper its interesting properties, making it a useful beauty substance. The anti-inflammation and painkilling qualities of the ingredient are the most important. Cayenne increases heat production and speeds up metabolism in cells. That is why you can apply it to the scalp to boost hair growth; it works as a warming substance, stimulating blood circulation.

Be careful! You cannot apply cayenne pepper directly to your scalp because it can cause irritation. It is a good idea to mix it with other ingredients to lower its irritative properties.

HAIR GROWTH BOOSTING OIL WITH CAYENNE PEPPER – RECIPE

What do you need?

  • 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil,
  • 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper,
  • 7 free days 😉

How to make cayenne pepper for hair growth?

You heat up coconut oil so it melts down. Pour it into a comfortable jar or closed container. Add cayenne pepper, mix well and close the container. Leave the mixture for seven days in a shadowy and cool place. If the coconut oil gets solid, heat the mixture up once again. Next, drain the mixture using a fine sieve or gauze. The oil should be intensely red. Keep it in a dark and comfy container.

How to use cayenne pepper oil?

Just as any other oil – for traditional scalp oiling. Rub a small amount of the oil between your palms and massage into the scalp. Preferably, do it when your hair is damp so the nutrients are better absorbed. Leave the cayenne oil throughout the night (the method I use). If you have a sensitive scalp, keep it for a shorter period of time e.g. an hour to avoid possible irritations. If you use the oil regularly, your hair can grow even 3 times faster!
