My way of obtaining ideal eyebrows – henna + eyebrow shaping

How to take care of eyebrows?
How to apply henna the right way?
How to shape eyebrows at home?

Today I invite you to read a very short manual concerning taking care of eyebrows. I know that this entry will appear to be fairly subjective, but I hope some of you will find it useful. Although I’m lucky enough to have naturally neat eyebrows, I know much about their care. I’m eager to share my experience with you.

1. Take care of your eyebrows

Even the most healthy eyebrows, the ones which grow naturally beautiful, will be content when you gift them with moisturisation and nourishment. Since you pamper your complexion, hair and eyelashes, why wouldn’t you do the same to your eyebrows? I have a few beauty ideas for you:

  • I perform oil eyebrow treatment, for example, during make-up removal or applying an oil to my face;
  • you can replenish your eyebrows with water by treating them with your favourite delicate moisturising cream;
  • remember that the best oil that accelerates eyebrow growth is castor oil, which additionally gifts the hair with shine;
  • if your eyebrows are weakened, limit unwanted hair removal for some period of time so as to let the eyebrows grow out a little bit.

2. The right eyebrow shaping

Fixing eyebrow shape by removing unwanted hair with tweezers is the most frequently performed procedure. I do this on my own, at home, but I know that there is a substantial amount of women who visit a beautician to have their eyebrows shaped. Let me told you that all you need is a little bit of practice and every one of you will handle the eyebrow shaping at home. Really, I encourage you to try!

Eyebrow shaping step by step

  • Use and eye pencil to mark the shape you want to achieve. When it comes to straight lines, we can obtain them by tracing them using an eye pencil or tweezers. A long and straight item will also help us defining the direction at which an eyebrows should be shaped and its end (i.e. towards the corner of the eye).
  • Take a tweezer and pull out (use an energetic motion so as to end this rather unpleasant procedure faster) all the unwanted hairs which are located outside the outline you’ve just drawn. That’s all!

3. Eyebrow henna

Once I finish shaping my eyebrows, I always follow with applying henna. Thanks to this, I define the obtained shape of eyebrows and camouflage possible gaps which make my eyebrows look as if they were missing something. I follow the producer’s directions to mix the henna up and I apply it to my eyebrows with a precise, cut-at-angle eyebrow brush. Obviously, be sure that the shade of the cosmetic is in tune with your complexion’s shade. The most precise and the most even has to be the lower line which is defined by the eyebrow arch. I let henna sit on my eyebrows for approximately 15 minutes and then I remove it with a strong OIL-FREE make-up remover. Voilà!
