How to choose a brow pomade?
Choosing the right eyebrow pomade depends, of course, on your skin type, eyebrow, and eye color, and in general on your personal preferences. Let me tell you what I follow when I want to choose a good pomade for myself 😉
- I choose the right shade of my eyebrow pomade. I believe it should match the color of my eyebrows so I aim for light shades.
- I pay attention to the consistency of the pomade because there are plenty of them. Wax, powder, cream… so many options. I prefer creamy brow pomades 🙂
- Of course, the durability of the pomade is important. I rely on cosmetics that do not wear off easily and I am sure that my eyebrows look great all day long. It is worth choosing a waterproof brow pomade that will give long-lasting results.
- Test it. Only by trying, you will be able to choose the perfect pomade for yourself 🙂 Try different products and you will definitely find the one that suits your look and style. Don’t be afraid to experiment!

A long-lasting brow pomade that comes in lots of pretty shades to choose from 🙂 It’s quick-drying, so it won’t work for people who lack skills. I’ve already gained some experience, so I like the fact that I can create nice eyebrow makeup in no time. The waterproof pomade is highly pigmented, provides a natural finish, and covers up any imperfections. The texture is light, you can easily build up the coverage. With it, you can create both natural and bold brow looks. It gives a matte finish. I admittedly prefer a satin one, but this is also not bad.

- comes in intense shade so eyebrows are well defined
- the product is easy to apply and has a nice consistency
- it’s an efficient brow styling pomade that lasts a long time
Disadvantages

- some people find its consistency too thick which makes it difficult to apply, but for me, it’s just right

3. KVD Beauty 24-Hour Super Brow Pomade

Waterproof: yes
An eyebrow makeup pomade that does a really good job. It comes in many shades, even unusual ones so if you like to experiment, I definitely recommend it. I don’t like crazy colors, so I opted for a neutral shade 🙂 This long-wear brow-styling pomade is waterproof so it stays on my eyebrows all day without a problem. I don’t like its consistency that much, as, in my opinion, it is a bit difficult to apply. Overall, I’m satisfied with it, it allows me to create really nice makeup and I can be sure that it will stay on for hours. The waterproof eyebrow pomade is efficient, so it lasts for a long time, but in my opinion, you can find better products at this price 🙂

Waterproof: yes
A creamy eyebrow-styling pomade that works well even for demanding users. I use it for special occasions like a big night out but generally, I prefer products that scored higher in my ranking. It gives a nice depth and filling effect to thin eyebrows, so I think it will work well for owners of sparse brows. The waterproof formula doesn’t wear off or dry out, so it’s an efficient product. This brow makeup pomade has a light, creamy texture, blends easily, and creates really interesting effects. There is no brush included, but a big plus for the fact that it has a special place built in to remove excess product from the applicator. Nothing goes to waste 😉

5. WBco The Brow Pomade
Where to buy it: available both in-store and online
Waterproof: no
A matte eyebrow-styling pomade that I use quite often for daytime makeup. It doesn’t really work for special events as it’s not waterproof and wears off easily. I wouldn’t risk it 🙂 It features an intense level of coverage, which people with extremely sparse eyebrows will like. It covers gaps and sparse areas nicely, fills in the brows, and highlights them well. It’s definitely not my favorite product, but it’s just okay, and I think beginners will like it a lot. It provides a matte finish, so if that’s what you like, this eyebrow makeup pomade will be just right 😉 You can find it in quite lovely shades that should suit any woman. In my opinion, its lack of durability is a huge downside, however, it doesn’t bother me for my daytime brow makeup.

Eyebrow pomade – how to apply it?
Applying eyebrow pomade admittedly requires some skill, but it is not an impossible thing 🙂 You just have to try it! How to fill in the eyebrows with a pomade step by step? I have prepared a mini-tutorial for you 😉
- Choose the right shade of your eyebrow pomade. Ideally, it should match your eyebrow color or be one or a maximum of two tones darker – then the effect will be natural but not overdrawn.
- Prepare your brow brush for applying the pomade. Unfortunately, they are often not included in the kit and you have to buy one yourself 🙁
- Clean the eyebrows with an oil-free product. You always have to make sure that the arches are clean and dry.
- Apply some pomade onto a brush and carefully apply it on the eyebrows following the direction of hair growth. Start from the inner brow edge.
- Brush through the eyebrows with a spoolie to fill them in evenly.
- Leave the pomade on to dry and… you’re done 🙂 Enjoy your beautiful eyebrow makeup all day long.
Styling eyebrows with a brow pomade requires a little patience, but after just a few times you will become a master. I hope my ranking of the best brow pomades will make it a little easier for you to choose the right one for yourself. Remember to keep trying and don’t give up 🙂
