Hi, there! Today, something cosmetic and creative – DIY face scrubs.
Making them is a child’s play. They are natural and irreplaceable for oily and combination skin types that tend to have open pores, blackheads, etc.
1. Oat flakes scrub
Just mix 2 tablespoons of oats, 3 tablespoons of natural yoghurt and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. If the scrub is too thick or dry, add a bit more juice.
Apply the scrub to the facial skin and gently massage it. You can leave it in for a few minutes and wash off with warm water.
2. Baking soda scrub
Mix two teaspoons of baking soda with mineral water to create a paste. It should have the consistency of a traditional drugstore scrub.
The paste works for the whole face but I would not recommend it for the sensitive skin – soda can cause irritation. The ‘sensitive’ ones can use it for the nose only – the scrub works amazing for removing all blackheads and pimples.
What is the best idea? Leave the baking soda scrub on the skin for several minutes and wash away with warm water.
You must remember to restore pH after the scrub. That is why it is necessary to wipe the face skin with a cotton pad soaked in a suitable toner or spritz the skin with hydrolate e.g. rose (for mature skin), melissa (for sensitive skin) or rosemary (for acne-prone skin). Face scrub works great as a preparation for the next cosmetic treatments e.g. masks, natural oil compress. Good luck!
