Thin hair care: my gentle treatment

Since I can recall, my hair was rather thin without any volume, thus I am aware how problematic such hair care can be. It is said that it is typical for Slavic girls who often have thin hair and usually, fair – exactly like mine. It turns out that the lack of volume can be a serious problem.

Through the years of struggling with my thin hair, I have developed several methods to improve its volume. I would like to encourage you to test them (or at least a few) and see that thin hair does not have to be so problematic.

What to do, to ADD volume to your hair?

  • First of all, you must wash your hair as often as it is necessary. If your thin hair is oily at the roots, it should be cleansed every day. Why? The rule is simple. Oily hair is heavier and lays flat – we are trying to obtain the opposite effect. Therefore, in order to enjoy weightless and fresh hair for longer, wash it more often than other people.
  • Secondly, consciously select products recommended for thin hair care, especially shampoos and conditioners.I try to choose cosmetics designed for thin hair, because they contain fewer oils and silicones that could burden the strands. Make sure to be guided by the composition of your cosmetic. A conditioner for thin hair should not contain the aforementioned ingredients, but it is good if it has aloe vera, panthenol and proteins. Thanks to these components that the hair gains smoothness and radiance. It is also important to choose only conditioners that require rinsing as they are lighter for the hair.
  • Thirdly, pay more attention to the hair washing technique. I always try to do it as gently as possible, for example, by combining a little shampoo with water before applying to the hair. I also recommend to apply the shampoo mainly to the base of the hair and wash the head gently massage with your fingertips. Take care of the hair washing technique. I always try to do it as delicately as possible, for example, by splitting a little shampoo with water before applying on the hair. I also recommend to apply the shampoo mainly to the base of the hair and wash the head gently massaging the scalp in circular motions with your fingers. Thin hair should not be torn, so I clean it by rinsing the shampoo from the base.

Why take care of thin hair differently?

Brighter and thinner hairs are smaller in diameter than those brunettes own. This means that they are simply delicate, more fragile and prone to splitting. Proper care of such hair is essential to strengthen it, prevent from weakening and further damage.

Good Luck!
